I went to C&E United Furniture and bought a new bed set. My room is now empty.
So tonight is basically the last day of summer and registration for Sophomore year is tomorrow. I think I'm going to attempt to recap my freshman year, even though I hated half of it, just so later on in the future I will remember.
So First semester.
I even remember what I wore on the first day of school. Pink polo, black dickies, and Unkles.
I spend most of my time hating school because of that fact that I had to go to school. And not just school, but St. Francis. I was all hung over on how I wasn't accepted into Bellarmine, who knows why, and how I couldn't get along with many people at school. I slowly learned my reason, or should I say, God's reason for having me go to SFHS. Towards the end of first semester was when I heard God speak to me once again.
Anyway, I remember I skipped Homecoming and went to a Cal football game against Wash St. with Karoline for her birthday. It was a great night. I think I made a few friends, and I really do mean the word, "few". I had an asian crew and thats who I hung out with. I did talk to the other kids, but I mean, I had nothing to talk about. I was only known as, "that one kid with all the shoes" or "the kid that dances" or even "the kid from Milpitas". Oh well, school dances suck. Winterball was a waste. I do remember going to MHS's Winterball though. It was worse. Hahaha. I found myself drifting between schools this school year. From SFHS, to MHS, to BCP.
Visiting MHS with Lynn every once in awhile was fun. People always asked me, "What are you doing here? You might as well go here." and telling Lynn that they really forgot that she doesn't even go to MHS.
Freshman year was when I first started my friendship with Brother Sam Robin. And God bless him because he helped me out a lot. He talked me through my whole process of wanting to transfer.
Second semester got better. My grades went up except in Math....=[ And I became more social. Unfortunately, I was still more socially active outside of school with people other than from school. Oh well. I remember going through Confirmation freshman year. Every Friday sacrificed to classes, but the outcome was worth it. I started the program in November of '07 and ended in June of '08. So it was short. Second semester I kind of found me group of friends that I would hang with for the next few years. Most of them not in my class of '11. I remember how much trouble our class has gotten into. I remember teacher specifically saying that '11 has been the worse class of recent years. Kids dealing drugs in class, taking drugs during school hours, stealing liquor after school and then returning to campus only to throw up infront of the Dean. My class is very immature.
I played JV Volleyball and it was all right. I didn't enjoy every minute of it, but it was a good experience. I love volleyball now. Even though I spent my time on the bench. Whatever, I was named the team Defensive Specialist, whatever that means.
Thats all for now. I hope I can remember everything else and I hope for a better Sophomore year.
I think I'm either going to take a WDYWT picture very often or take many pictures and print them out and collage them onto my wall of my room, covering it up. Thanks Matt for the idea.
