DXC

This weekend has been a pretty fun weekend.

From Friday's time capsule hangout, to Saturday's chilling at Matt's SanFran house, to Sunday's DunkXChange.

Saturday:

On Saturday we all met up at Matts house to get ready to drive up to San Francisco for the weekend. Our crew was made up of Matt, Russ, Ray, Christian, Troy, Quan, and me. When we reached SF, we unpacked and chilled. We hid the time capsule somewhere inside of the SF house since we couldn't bury it.

That night was filled with fun card playing, making fun of Quan (Adios a todos!), joke telling, non-homo activites......yeah, "Talking Rain" drinks and just loads of fun.

Sunday:

Sunday we woke up and got ready to attend mass and DXC. We went to mass at St. Mary's Cathedral and then afterwards, went to DXC.

The DunkXChange this time around was pretty wack. It took forever to find deals, and when I did, they all flaked. I did manage to sell my Lodens though, so that was good!

We all also had the chance to meet and take pictures with Mitch from Supreme Soul. So that was cool.
*Edit*
FCK. I just found out I left one of my Unkles at DXC. =[[[[[. If you have it, please be so kind as to return it. What are you going to do with one shoe?

Time Capsule

Last day of this HEAT WAVE! Also the last day of school for the week with a three day weekedn for Labor Day!

Anyway, today after school, Eric and Christian came over and we went to Matt's house for "The Project"For the past week, we came up with the idea of a time capsule. So, Eric, Christian, Mark, Troy, Quan, Raymond, Russell, Matt and I met up. We played ball for a few hours and then got ready for our video that we recorded explaining each item we were going to bury and why. So it was pretty cool.

Anyway, tomorrow we're all hitting up San Francisco for the third term of DXC. It'll be a long weekend.

Here are some pictures of today.

DNC X Be The Change

Today was the hottest day of the week. 100 degrees! It sucks that its starting to get hot as we return to school. I was hoping to return to the cold school weather. It was cold during summer and now its getting hot? Oh well.

I also broke out and un-DSed my Puma Suedes today.

Today I was watching the Democratic National Convention and Barack Obama give his nomination acceptance speech.

Obama is a really good crowd speaker.  I had a lot of good points and was very moving. Although, I don't want to make any judgments until I see the Republican National Convention and John McCain.

He kept the idea of the "American Promise".

There was theme that kind of went through my head throughout the day. I kinda thought about it since I read it off the school wall and after the speech. It is also Obama's campaign slogan.

A Change We Can Believe In.

"Be the change you want to see in the world." -- Mahatmas Ghandi

I really want to start being involved and keeping up with current events because by the next election, regardless of who wins, I will be eligible to vote. I want to know what's going on so I will know who I will vote for and solid reasons of why I am voting for them. I don't want to be one sided and registered in a political party that I have no knowledge about.

Tribute to the Dead Collection

For the past 3 weeks or so, I've been wanting to take a picture of my shoe collection, but never have been able to get around to it. Whether being lazy or busy with other things, I've never had the time or inspiration to take a collection picture, until today. Today, when I saw Mark's collection picture, I decided that it was finally time to take the picture.

History:

After about 3 solid years of buying, selling, and collecting (mostly collecting), I have finally decided to give my shoe game a long rest. I've put too much extra energy and effort into this collection that I can easily use on more productive things. So I have decided that I will take a VERY long break. This will be my attempt number #5672349. Hopefully, I will succeed.

Here is a list of the shoes: (from left to right)

Confirmation reunion

Today was the second day of school. I got to go to all of my even classes today with an A1 day.
Geometry was pretty boring. Everything else was all right.

Periods:
2) Colonial: US History
4) Geometry H
6) Religion

Here is a WDYWT at school:

Later that night, I went to Pavalkis Hall for the Confirmation class of 2008 reunion. It was great to see everyone again and see how everyone's doing. We talked about a possible retreat later next spring for us to resunite again. SJB has a new youth director, Stan Horiza, and he wants to make many changes according to our needs, so I'm excited. Sad though, because Jon Manongdo has left to a new parish.

First Day

First day of Sophomore year.

The day started off kinda of slow. I tried switching lockers, but ended up having to switch twice.

At SFHS, we have a block schedule with 85 mintue periods. Brown days have odd classes, Gold or A days have even period classes.

My classes are all right. Steel Drums is a complete joke class though. I can't decide if I should transfer out of it to take Graphic Arts to take Photography, but Steel Drums is suck a chill class. Basically a free period, AND you get an A.

Periods:
1) Spanish 2
3) Steel Drums
5) Biology
7) English 2

ABDC Season 2 winner is SuperCr3w. I still think the shows sucks.

WDYWT: Levi 514 Cords, Stussy Polo, LRG Track Jacket, and Blue Supreme Highs.

Christian Mara and me with matching Supreme Highs.

I also came home to these:

Registration Day

So today was registration day. I weird to go back to school and see everyone. Sophomores register last, so it was hot all day. We had to wait 2 whole hours to finish. I stood in line for a whole hour inside a hot gym full of people and no AC. My pictures turned out crappy because of the heat. Whatever, I won't be remember for a picture inside of a book.

I got my schedule and was upset to only have friends in 2 classes. It turns out Steel Drums was split into two classes so I didn't get second lunch or a class with Lynn. Boo.

Well, here is my schedule:

1. Spanish 2 - Sauceda
2. S1:US History - Smith; S2: Psych - Ferriera
3. Steel Drums - D.Mitchell
4. Geometry H - M.Mitchell
5. Biology -Welsh
6. S1:Religion - Wilson; S2 Religion - Busbin
7. English 2 - Holland

So I went home and went to my dad's for dinner. Chrissie and Jason came over and we had pizza and corn, while watching the Olympics.

I came home to new furniture in my room. The old furniture is for the guest room.

Well, the first day is tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

Last day of summer X Freshman recap

So this morning, I return home from Matt's house.

I went to C&E United Furniture and bought a new bed set. My room is now empty.

So tonight is basically the last day of summer and registration for Sophomore year is tomorrow. I think I'm going to attempt to recap my freshman year, even though I hated half of it, just so later on in the future I will remember.

So First semester.

I even remember what I wore on the first day of school. Pink polo, black dickies, and Unkles.
I spend most of my time hating school because of that fact that I had to go to school. And not just school, but St. Francis. I was all hung over on how I wasn't accepted into Bellarmine, who knows why, and how I couldn't get along with many people at school. I slowly learned my reason, or should I say, God's reason for having me go to SFHS. Towards the end of first semester was when I heard God speak to me once again.

Anyway, I remember I skipped Homecoming and went to a Cal football game against Wash St. with Karoline for her birthday. It was a great night. I think I made a few friends, and I really do mean the word, "few". I had an asian crew and thats who I hung out with. I did talk to the other kids, but I mean, I had nothing to talk about. I was only known as, "that one kid with all the shoes" or "the kid that dances" or even "the kid from Milpitas". Oh well, school dances suck. Winterball was a waste. I do remember going to MHS's Winterball though. It was worse. Hahaha. I found myself drifting between schools this school year. From SFHS, to MHS, to BCP.
Visiting MHS with Lynn every once in awhile was fun. People always asked me, "What are you doing here? You might as well go here." and telling Lynn that they really forgot that she doesn't even go to MHS.

Freshman year was when I first started my friendship with Brother Sam Robin. And God bless him because he helped me out a lot. He talked me through my whole process of wanting to transfer.

Second semester got better. My grades went up except in Math....=[ And I became more social. Unfortunately, I was still more socially active outside of school with people other than from school. Oh well. I remember going through Confirmation freshman year. Every Friday sacrificed to classes, but the outcome was worth it. I started the program in November of '07 and ended in June of '08. So it was short. Second semester I kind of found me group of friends that I would hang with for the next few years. Most of them not in my class of '11. I remember how much trouble our class has gotten into. I remember teacher specifically saying that '11 has been the worse class of recent years. Kids dealing drugs in class, taking drugs during school hours, stealing liquor after school and then returning to campus only to throw up infront of the Dean. My class is very immature.

I played JV Volleyball and it was all right. I didn't enjoy every minute of it, but it was a good experience. I love volleyball now. Even though I spent my time on the bench. Whatever, I was named the team Defensive Specialist, whatever that means.

Thats all for now. I hope I can remember everything else and I hope for a better Sophomore year.

I think I'm either going to take a WDYWT picture very often or take many pictures and print them out and collage them onto my wall of my room, covering it up. Thanks Matt for the idea.

Matt's House

I spent the night at Matty G's with Russell. Long ass night!  Last few days before school starts. Couldn't go to San Francisco the next day for Crisann's birthday. S'all good though.

Robbed a Bankkkk

Weekend Recap.

The last two days have been a really good summer closing weekend.

Friday:
I went to church at Most Holy Trinity for the Assumption of Mary.

Jomar, Mios and Jirla came over and spent the night. We chilled, watched the Olympics, brawled, s'mored, wii'd, and even freaked Jomar out with Peter Answers. HAHA.

Saturday:

Woke up and watched more Olympics and Wipeout.

I went to Alyssa's Quince practice. When I got back, Jomar, Mios, Mimi, and I went to mass at St. Elizabeths with the girl's choir. Afterwards, we went to the art and wine festival, only to find out it closed. Being hungry and bored, we decided to go to Red Lobster.

You know how everyone always says that you'll go in and only order bread, but then always chicken out? We actually did it. And by the way, our waiter was pretty boss. We ordered about 24 breads and even got a free Lime cake because water spilled on it. After being satisfied, we walked out feeling like we robbed a bank.

It was a good two days.

Sunday:
I spent some time with my grandma and grandpa and went over to their house to have lunch.
They dropped me off at church and I got to see some old faces from Confirmation.

Man, church three days in a row and it's not even a holiday!

Friday-Most Holy Trinity
Saturday-St. Elizabeth
Sunday-St. John the Baptist

Not moving

I have decided to announce that I will not be moving anymore.

NICE.

Sorry for the late announcement.

Last swim of the summer!

So today I finally get my camera back from the shop! Thanks Jonathan! I'm so happy right? And then I completely forget how to use it. Hahah. So the whole morning I was just playing with it and trying to get all the settings back to normal. I can't fix the shutter speed! Its so slow and since I'm a noob, I don't know what to do! So if anyone can help me out! Please contact me!

Anyway, I spent a good chunk of time reading East of Eden. I just finished Part 3 of the four part book. And then after that, I still have to tackle my last book before school starts.

Later that day, I met up with the swimming crew to have our last swim of the summer before school starts. All the regular's were there and Russell even joined us. We went to eat after that and then parted our ways.

I went home and showered and ate again and watched the Olympics. Its so intense. (Like camping, Jen. Hah)

Anyway, later I got a surprise call from Diane N. We talked for a bit and caught up with each other and everything. It was good.

Pictures are up on the photobucket under category : Swimming.

P.S. Its been awhile since I typed up a blog entry this long.

Here is a bonus picture:

Great America

So I couldn't sleep last night because I was disappointed that the Solar Eclipse wouldn't be in our area. I stayed up for it anyway though which was stupid. Hah.

Anyway, today I went to Great America with the Japanese kids. I hope they enjoyed it and the roller coasters weren't too bad. Haha

I met up with Angela, Ariana, and Jomar and we just chilled at Boomerang Bay.

It was a long and tiring day. I cam home and was knocked out for about 3 hours.
