Blind Date

So today I got to skip all of 6th period. Nice!

I got to go to the band room for a special guest performer. Apparently, he is very famous Indian artist who plays a 4,000 year old instrument. He has worked with many famous people including The Beetles and has won grammys. It was pretty interesting.

Later on during the day Kristi and Mimi proposed an arranged blind date. Yeah...

They won't tell me who it is. And it's really starting to bug me! This will be interesting.

Anyway, school is doing well. All except one class. I have all A's and A-'s except in one class. Spanish. I have a C in Spanish 2.

Fringe is looking good! Creepy though.

Grandpa Goes Home

My grandpa goes home tonight. =[ I won't see him until Thanksgiving, although thats pretty short.

Here you will see me in a traditional Vietnamese "kimono" or Ao Dai.

I'm getting pretty good grades in school right now. Grading period is ending, but I'm slacking on these last few assignments. Should be fine.

Anyway, Happy 16th Birthday MattyG!

MickyD's Birthday

Went to L&L Hawaiian's to eat for Matt MacDonald's birthday. Went out to SCP for Paintball after. Man, I miss paintball. I played really well. Ran the snake most of the time. I came home with bruised knees and a welt near my rib. I kinda want to go back to paintballing.

Sore Sunday

Wow. This has been a pretty long Sunday. Probably because I woke up early instead of sleeping in. Haha.

Woke up around 8 went running with Lynn for 5 miles? She's a trooper. Anyway, I spent my morning running, biking, and watching the Raiders game.

At noon, I visited the San Mateo Juvenile Hall and sang mass for them. It was a new experience. Didn't really know what to expect.

I came home and watched the rest of the Niners/Seahawks win in over-time. Good job O'Sullivan.

My cousin Karoline came down for a visit and I got to spend some time with her. I even got some homework done before sun down!

Anyway, I was watching some more football as it continued onto this new TV Thriller. I heard about it and it sounded interested so I decided to watch for a few minutes and return to finish my homework. That few minutes turned into two hours. Fail.

Man, its such a good show. Exciting, suspenseful, thrilling, freaky, it just keeps you hooked. Its called Fringe and is a sci-fi series of science+FBI. I think I'm going to start following it.

Well, I'm really sore from this whole weekend. Should finish up homework. Tomorrow and the rest of the week is activities week, followed by the SJB Autumn Festival!

First Rally X Dance Fest

Today was a pretty fun day.

First rally of the year and senior drive in. Some people came in with ATVs, boats, and even a short yellow bus! Pretty fun. The rally was pretty good, too.

After school I went with my little cousin to Ohlone College for the All the Way Live 2008 Dance Fest. I got to meet Supreme Soul and all the members. Storm all the way from Germany was LEGIT. It was pretty fun. I failed though because I didn't bring a jacket. Only wore a tee shirt and it was windy in the hills at night. Fail.

Anyway, here are some pictures of tonight.

September 11th

Wow. It's been 7 years.

I can't believe I completely forgot what today meant until I stepped into class for announcements.

Bless all those affected by the tragedy.

Anyway, today was pretty cool. Came home and Jomar and Mios came over. We chilled for a few hours just kickin it. Then after they left, Mimi and I were locked outside of our house for 30 min. -__-

Anyway, my grandpa has graciously given me the gift of his old car! WHOOOOO! NICE! THANK YOU GRANDPA!

Old, used, dirty, beat up, but runs!

Tomorrow is first rally! Thumbs down for class colors though. =/  Brown.

Grandpa!

Grandpa is home at last!

Today was busy. I had a major test in EVERY class. I even had a test after school. So, I headed off for the DMV. And I got four of the first six questions wrong. I was only allowed eight errors on the test. Well, I ended up only missing 2 more and passed. Nice! So I now have a driving permit.

Permit

So today is another fun filled day at school. (not really)

1st period Spanish is greaaaaat. (not really) For some of you, this might be the best class, I don't think so. Its been 3 weeks of school and my teacher has still not taught us a single thing. Not a single lesson. Great. Today in class we literally sat in our seats for 30 mins doing whatever. There was a point during class I just stood up and walked around, drew on the board, started eating, going into the halls. She would've never noticed. Someone even started dancing in the middle of class. Why do I think this isn't the best class ever? Well, its simple, really. Its because I haven't learned a darn thing. How am I supposed to take Spanish 3 next year and pass if I can't even pass Spanish 2?

The day was cramped with work. Having dumb ass project partners suck.

After school, I had a scheduled appointment and went to the DMV to take my permit test. I wait 30 minutes until they called my number. The lady there told me that I was unable to take the test and I was shocked. She told me that I didn't have my original birth certificate with me instead of a copied version, which is what I brought. She told me to come back tomorrow.
Waste. of. time.

Anyway, I have loads to study for. Major tests tomorrow. Plus I uploaded a few pictures. Check them out. Grandpa comes home tomorrow! :)

Mom's birthday

Happy *3rd birthday!

Mondays -_- .

Today was an all right day. Bringing a camera to school is starting to become a trend. Marissa and Roseanne are TAs in one of my classes, so hook it up! I also got my other Unkle back. Thanks Kevin. Came home and took a 3 hour nap. Had a burrito after school and crab for dinner while watching the Raiders lose 41-14. Boo.

Anyway, I did minimal work today until about 10 o'clock that I realized I had hella crap to finish. Homework, study for major tests, and even study for my permit test which is tomorrow! Grandpa also comes home on Wednesday! Friday we have a rally and Allison is taking us to an ABDC show or something. Sounds like a fun week. The weather is also cooling down to mid 70s. Nice.

Oh well, I've been lazy to upload pictures, so they'll be up later. Night.

Alyssa's Quincenera!

LONG DAY+HOT WEATHER+FULL TUXEDO= NOT GOOD.

I had loads of fun at though. All the sweating, soreness, and practice was worth it. I had a great time. Pictures up later.

First: Game/Mixer

So today was the first football game of the year. It was the big St. Francis vs Oak Grove football game. Televised on KTVU2 with Navy Seal Parachuters. The whole school was pumped. We even had a freakin Astro Jump in the Quad today. I took some pictures. Anyway, despite our school spirit, we lost 37-7, which is predictable. Thats why I didn't bother showing up. Instead, I attended the first ND mixer of the year.

After school, I went home and had the final practice for Alyssa's Quincanera. Afterwards, I went to Notre Dame. It was a fun night. This weekend is going to be tiring!

RNC X County First

Wednesday:

Today was a pretty long day. Mimi started waterpolo so I stay after school for 2 extra hours. English class got annoying because I was stuck in a project with guys that talk about blazing all day. It was unproductive, but whatever. Still getting the hang of the Nikon. Taking more pictures at school. After school, I had practice for the Quincanera, which is just a few days away.

Thursday:

Today was pretty hot! Mimi quit waterpolo today. Hahah. I think I'm getting sick from the construction dust in front of my house. School was all right today. I think I might join Yearbook club to take pictures for them. The first game is tomorrow and I don't think I'm going to go. SF Lancers vs Oak Grove Eagles and its going to be televised on KTVU2 and Navy SEAL Parachuters are going to be landing. Sounds fun. Anyway, I came home and fell asleep. Then, I went to GreatMall to pick up my tuxedo for the Quincanera. It's black and lavender. Anyway, I came home and Mios and Jomar were in front of my house door. We talk and chill for about an hour or so.

After that, I went inside and watched the RNC and McCain's acceptance speech. It was a good one.

---------------------------------------------------------
John McCain.

John McCain's life is very inspiring. He used his career as a model during the speech.

He kept the idea of "service" throughout the speech and how we  "stand together and fight".

He promises to stand by the citizens and fight for our causes as he did as a soldier.

I have much respect for Senator John McCain and his achievements and accomplishments.

--------------------------------------------------------
Sarah Palin.

As I said before I don't want to be one-sided or biased in opinion for this election.

Sarah Palin gave a great speech tonight. She focused on serving the American people.

"Country First" as their campaign moto.

From being a normal citizen and relating to us all to becoming mayor, then governor, and then vice-president nominee. She focused on John McCain as the only candidate in the election to actually serve the people of America.

"Some candidates use change to promote their careers, while other candidates like John McCain use their careers to promote change."

She hit major points in how John McCain's record of public reforms greatly outnumbers Obama's and that Obama hasn't made any actual reforms.

I don't exactly remember the entire speech, but I just know I can't wait until McCain's acceptance speech.

There is still time left until November. We'll see how things go.

Happy Labors Day!

This weekend has been pretty good.

Today I woke up after a long, well-rested, sleep.

Went shopping with the family and picked up a pair of R&R jeans that were on sale.

I went home and watched some college football. UCLA vs. Tennesse! UCLA wins in overtime.

Later, my sister goes crazy over tv season premiers of Gossip Girl and Tree Hill.

Didn't get much homework done. Fack. It's back to school again.
