Thanksgiving Weekend

Saturday:

So Saturday noon I had lunch with my sisters and dad. We came up with an idea for my grandma's going home party, Music Video!

I went to Costco after and then later that night, I chilled with Ray and we went to see Quantum of Solace. I went back to Ray's house and chilled there for a few hours. We missed Jame's party.

Later that night, I went to my cousin's house and spent the night there. We all watched This Christmas again like the first time in theaters.

Bell beats Serra; Valley Christian beats Oak Grove; Bell vs VC in the CCS Open Division Finals

Sunday:

Finishing up Thanksgiving break with a relaxing day and did homework. I just have 2 weeks left before finals and need to crank it out for these last few days.

December is tomrrow!

Black Friday

So I didn't get up at midnight or 4am to go shopping or anything, but I did go to Valley Fair around 8am. Didn't get much because there weren't any great deals for anything I liked. Black Friday is usually about electronics anyway. Spent a good amount of hours because my sister didn't want to leave.  I didn't see too many familiar faces either. Well, except for this guy who looked like Bionic? I don't know whatever. I didn't really care. It was really crowded every. Like, ''sardine'' packed.

I heard about the story of the Wal-Mart employee who was opening the front door and was hospitalized/killed? And the one about the lady with a miss-carriage because she was pushed so much. Horrible stories. Just goes to show how far people will go to get discounted items. Crazy.

Anyway, after shopping, I went and spent the day at my uncle's house. I saw one of my cousin that I haven't seen for four years. We ate, watched college football, gambled, and chilled. It was fun.

Thanksgiving

(Try to) Be thankful 365>1

Thank you all.

My overall Thanksgiving was all right. I hope yours was better than mine.

Morning mass at MHT. I think this was my highlight of the day even though it was the first thing I did all day. Multi-cultural mass at Most Holy Trinity with Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese, and Samoan heritage.

I didn't do much the rest of the day, but stay home. Dinner wasn't so great. For the third straight year we kept it non-traditional and we ate Vietnamese food. I was hoping to be able to eat a lot, but unfortunately, I didn't eat much at all. I was with my mom's side after dispute over who to go to dinner with. I wish I went with dad, they had turkey. Saw only two cousins and stayed for only a couple hours until we left. We didn't do anything else after. Boring.

Oh well. Happy Turkey Day.

CCS Playoffs, MHS vs BCP

Happy 16th Jimmy!

I didn't do much during the day. Drove some more. Did some grocery shopping in MV. Cal beat Stanford. It was a mellow day.

The night wasn't so great. Many people decided to go see Twilight because they felt Milpitas was going to win. Surprisingly, I wish I went to the movies, too. The game was a landslide victory for Bellarmine. I didn't expect Milpitas to win, but I wished for a good exciting game. Final score, Bell's 34, Milpitas 7.

A strange series of  events happened right before half time though. There were 3 plays with 0:00 on the game clock.  So with 0:04 to go in the half, Milpitas throws a Hail Mary to the endzone, only to be picked off by Bellarmine. It returned all the way to the 15 yard line, then was lateralled and ran to the endzone. But wait, the ruling was that there was an illegal forward pass. So it was brought back to the 15 with 0:00 to go. They ran it into the endzone, but wait again, there was holding on the play, so brought back again. Finally, they just decide to kick the field goal.

YouTube Concert

So Friday Night I went to Piedmont Hills for the YouTube or whatever you call it concert. It was pretty good besides how cold it was. Performances by Cable Car Stars, Reynard Silva, Lori Abucayan and Gabe Bondoc. It was a good show and I got their autographs and pictures afterwards.

Pictures later

My overall school grades are all right. 4 weeks left before Finals!

Anyway, we performed at Santana Row. Played the songs Shaw Park, Jammin, and Obla Di Obla Da.

Here I am playing the Triple Guitar Drum.

Bellarmine vs Saint Francis game

100th post. Cool.

So Thursday was a rally day for the big Bell vs SF game. Rally was lame. Didn't expect much because our team sucks and Bell is just so good.

Anyway, free dress Thursday and Friday.

The game was actually pretty bad. 28-0 BCP in THE FIRST QUARTER. Oh well, it was all right. Got to chill with a lot of people. Prayers to Shaun Reis. Big injury during the 3rd. Something along the lines of dislocated shoulder, neck injury, head injury, or help us Lord, spinal injury.

Didn't take many pictures.

SFHS Homecoming

Tired.

Woke up late. Did nothing but be lazy all day.

Ate at Sen Dai for dinner. Then off to Saint Francis for Homecoming.
Color: Yellow

Pretty fun. I was really tired all night.

More later. I didn't bring a camera so I have to hunt for all the pictures I'm in.

HC Day 5 - Play Day

PLAY DAY.

Basically, school starts at 830am and ends at 12:00 and all we do all day is have a HUGE rally.
(SFHS version of T.O.)

Sophomores '11 basically won all the spirit points for the week and got 1st place, but every year they give it to the Seniors. We won our Freshman year too, but had to give it away.

The rally was pretty fun. Class dances were al good except for the Freshman dance. Senior's dance was pretty crazy coreographed by Kevin Tjoi.

HC Day 4 - All Around the World X Night of Acoustics

Today was a VERY LONG DAY.

I basically went to school twice. Classes seemed so long, probably cause I was anticipating a good end of the day. So got to school at 7:45am and didn't come home until 9:00pm.

Today was All Around the World day where you dress up from different cultures around the world.

WDYWT: Spain FC Barcelona Jersey, Stussy World Tour track jacket, Saigon tee

Anyway, Night of Acoustics was awesome. There were some good performances. Good job to Marti, Jackie, Ariana, and Roseanne though, aka Velvet Lace.

HC Day 3 - Old School Day

"Remember, remember the fifth of November" - V for Vendetta.
Its funny because today marks the first day for President-elect Obama and V is all about change.

Today is Old School day at school. Sophomores '11 lead in class competition.

Proposition 8, the banning of gay-marriage rights, is passed and I am happy about it.

WDYWT: TH fitted, Biggie tee, Light Blue Made Hiero crew neck, Levis, DeLaLows

After school was pretty fun. A bunch of us got bored and decided to play a whole bunch of ice breakers. Its almost regular now. Bang, Big Booty, Cry Wolf, Jiggalow, Zoo, etc.

HC Day 2 - Election Day

Election day. I can't even begin to explain how I felt this morning besides being pretty nervous . There was a weird feeling in the air.

Today at school was Born in America Day - A lame way to show nationalism for election day.

WDYWT: Supreme Soul tee, Levi long sleeve, Levis, Pumas

Here is our hall decoration. Theme was Austin Powers. Lame.

We had a school wide mock election. I went to the voting poll 5 times and honestly couldn't decide. I was just so undecided. I guess all this time I was just waiting and thinking that when the day came, I would know. It was hard. Even though it didn't count, I didn't vote because I didn't have my head straight and I didn't want to vote being influenced. Even though it didn't mean anything whatsoever, I felt that it had a special importance in how I would vote 4 years from now. Obama won the mock election.

Towards the evening, I came home and tuned into the election coverage's. I stopped and thought over everything for awhile. I probably watched a good 3 hours of coverage. Democrats now hold the majority seats in both the House and the Senate.I'm not sure if I finally took a side or not, but when they announced the winner, I had the ineffable feeling. It wasn't a good or bad feeling. It was like I was frozen and I was taking in everything. I realized that that moment would be a moment I would remember for a long time. A moment in history that I would live in to tell my grandchildren about. The 44th president, Barack Obama, becomes the United State's first African-American president. Obama won the electoral vote 338 to McCain's 156. The popular vote was also very close with Obama leading 51% to McCain's 49%.

I hope for a bright future because it is going to be a very long journey of change.  We need EVERYONE to come together and work with each other to reach our goals. Hopefully this change will mark a new era following Reagan. Respect for McCain for a hard fight. And a new hope in ourselves, our country, and our world with Barack Obama. We are ready. Yes we can.

Evergreen Valley Homecoming

Sunday:
-SJB 1230 mass
-Hang out with Karoline because her birthday is tomorrow.
-Looked at some more houses
-Day Light Savings! More sleep!
-Lots of homework that I should be doing.

Homecoming week starts tomorrow.

Saturday:

Went to Matt's house and chilled with the Council for awhile. It was a rainy day though, so we stayed in and watched sports and played sport video games. Ordered an unlimited topping pizza from Domino's $7.77 deal.

My dad is looking around for a new place.

Evergreen Valley's Homecoming was supposedly almost canceled? No idea. Anyway, Minh aka DJ Cinnaminh stepped in and DJ'd. It was pretty cool. I ran into a lot of old faces. Leaders and retreat-ants from Agape, old school LaSan people, and actually met Amanda in person. And I guess Jansen and Erika weren't there? Shout-out to you guys. Anyway, didn't dance much, mostly talked. My date was Diane Nguyen.

Color: Metallic Blue

Finally to end all this Homecoming madness is SFHS Homecoming next week. Getting tired of it. Hahah
