East Coastin' - Day 1

FAMILY REUNION TIME. Minus a lot of people, haha.

So we left SJC to LAX, and then LAX to Washington Duelles airport. On the plane, I got some pretty cool sunrise shots out the window. I arrived at 7am and lost 3 hours of sleep. Basically had a 2 hour night because we were sleepless. When we got to my uncle's place, in the Richmond, VA area, I crashed for a good 5 hours. We got up, ate, and left for Washington DC. We all went to a couple of museums until we were tired. (Washington Museum of Air & Space) After, we took a short roadtrip to Baltimore, MD harbor. We had dinner there and and I got some nice sunset shots along the harbor.

Last Day before East Coast

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who chilled with me today before I left. Some people, I won't see until August! Anyway, today really made the week feel great.

I made plans to chill with Matt and Eric in the morning but that failed. We both ended up waking up late, but they came anyway. We talked for about an hour until I had a dentist appointment and we had to split. Went to the dentist and found out that I had to reschedule! So called up Matt and Eric and we headed to Blush to hang out with Chanda.

Soon later, Christian Mara, Russ, and Miggy showed up so we all just hung out. Stayed at Blush for like 2-3 hours! Wow... We went back to my place and played ball for an hour and then headed to Angela's for swimming. Matt had to leave for practice so I said goodbye to him. I may not see him until I get back from Vietnam in August. We swam for about 30 mins and then went to Jomar's to chill. Jomar, Ariana, Marti, Angela, and Justin left to see the Hangover and the rest of us went to Wingstop to eat with Chanda and Troy.

I stayed out until about 530pm until my mom got mad at me and told me to come home since we were leaving for the airport soon. Had a great day and thanks to everyone.

Summer Days N Nights

So the past few days, I've been trying to go out as much as possible so that I use up all my summer time before I go on my trips. 1 week in the East Coast, Virginia for a Family Reunion and then 1 month in Vietnam for service. I can say that I'm both excited and bummed about the trip. I really want to go see my family in VA and help in VN, but at the same time, when I come back, I basically don't have much time until school starts again. So I've just been cramming everything possible (even if my mom gets mad, sorry).

Summer days just sitting around, but when the sun comes down...I'll be ready to party.

Today, I went to a BBQ/Party for my godsister's, Antoinette's birthday. It was pretty cool. Spent a lot of time entertaining people by jamming. I spent a few hours there and then headed home for Stacey's Graduation Party. I got home and took a quick nap, then Chanda called me up and asked to chill. Jomar and Miggy came over before Stacey's and we all went to Angela's to hangout for a bit. Ariana came and we all just decided to go to Stacey's together. Chanda hooked up some Blush for the party. We stayed for a few hours and even had a photo shoot during magic hour. After we left, we came back to my place and just hung out. As people began to leave, Miggy, Jomar, Chanda, Mimi and I decided to take one last trip to Blush before it closes. We chilled there for a bit and then we all went home and I dropped Chanda off.

Another COMPLETE day of summer. We kinda just went with the flow of things. It was an overall good day.

Bell/Blush/Jesse's Surprise

Woke up today and made plans with Chanda to go visit Bellarmine summer school. We got there and hung out for a bit and I got to see some old faces. Then we headed to a plaza down the street to have lunch.

Later on in the day, Troy, Chanda and I decided to check out the opening of Blush in Milpitas. We got some free yogurt. It is a really nice place and I see myself going there in the future. Troy and I picked up some pizza for Jesse's party that night.

I dropped Troy and Chanda off, picked up Lynn and Mimi, and headed towards Mountain View for Jesse's surprise birthday party. Lots of BBQ-ing, Volleyball-ing, Mario Kart-ing, and Jamming. It was a really fun, long day. And a lot of driving.

One of the more COMPLETE days this summer. :D

Hiking/Hangover/Grandpa!

Woke up early at 930 today and went hiking with Mimi and Nette at Mission Peak. We were practicing and getting in shape for our Vietnam trip, hah. Anyway, we made it 2/3 of the way up and the girls decided to call it quits. Boo!

Later that day, I went to Cat's place and picked up Cat, Chanda, and Shawna. We left for Eastridge to see a movie and meet up with other people. I ended up seeing The Hangover with a few other people. It was pretty funny. Hahah, I left early and came home to my grandpa! He came back from Vietnam and is staying with us until we all leave back to Vietnam!

Anjelica's 16th/ Lakers Championship

Anjelica's 16th birthday party was today. It was interesting going between the two groups of SFHS white kids and SFHS Asian kids. Hahah, I guess some people finally got a chance to see what I'm like. Well, it was pretty fun. We played volleyball, frisbee, soccer, water balloon toss, water fight, basketball, etc. It was a good time.

Christian and I drove back to his house and we watched the NBA Finals Championship game at his house. Lakers take it home! Winning in Orlando to take their 15th NBA Championship in 30 appearances. Kobe with his fourth ring and the MVP.

We went to church at St Pats after. Hungout with Lynn, KevinT, and Chanda afterwards. Then we went home and Christian and Jomar spent the night. We brawled and all that good stuff.

The Taking of Pelhem 123

One of my new personal favorite movies. I thought the story was amazing and it makes me want to read the novel. I think I will. There was so much symbolism in this movie. I thought the director really captured the emotions behind the characters well. The characters basically make the movie what it is. I'd write a review for it, but I can't seem to say much else except, "Wow".

Take in the more from the movie than just the screen please! It's really great!

Jansen's BBQ/Kevin's Birthday

Jansen had a small BBQ today at his place. I went over with Matt. It was pretty cool, just a few of us hanging out. HAHA, no homo, but Jansen, Marcel, and me singing the song Escape (If You Like PinaColadas) was preeeetty fun.

Matt and I left around 7ish and I headed home, then to Hot Pot City for Kevin's birthday dinner. We ended up switching to Black Angus, but s'all goood. Took some pictures in the parking lot after. And I traded Kevins some Homers for his Sea Crystals for his birthday.

First Full Week of Summer

Does it feel like summer yet..? No, not really.

Why does it feel like this whole time has been a really long weekend or spring break or something. Is it the cloudy and gloomy skies instead of sunshine or is it that everyone is finally finishing school?

Oh well. Summer so far has been pretty all right. Nothing too exciting but there hasn't been a completely boring day yet.

On Monday, I went biking with Raymond along Piedmont road to Cataldi park. We chilled with Matt and Karl. Then we all headed to Cat's house and played tennis. Later that night, I went to open gym with Matt and played volleyball. It was a pretty active day.

Mimi was confirmed on Tuesday. It was fun. Wednesday was chill. And Thursday was Milpitas' last day. So Ray and I visited. We hung out as everyone was excited for the summer to begin. A few of us went to TK Noodle to eat and then Frozos. Later on, I had dinner with Crystal and Charlie and a few other people in Newark. Lakers won in overtime. Yee! Now up 3-1

Summer feels like it moving way too fast. Its weird, I feel like there is only like 2 weeks left, even though there are like 2 months. I guess its because of the Vietnam trip. Its gonna take out a huge chunk of my summer.

I've been getting less descriptive in my posts lately. Whatevs.

SAT II/SLA Graduation

Gaah...so tired this morning...
Then I realized that I have SAT IIs! NO!

So I decided to wake up early to study for the SAT, haha. I didn't study AT ALL for them. Woke up at 5AM and went back to sleep until 6AM. Haha, I opened up my book and looked over a few stuff, then was like "fck it". I got ready and eat and rushed down the Evergreen to take it. Man..

After, I thought it was pretty easy. Even though I didn't know some of the questions, I think I did well. I had enough time left over to take the test again! Anyway, I think I did fine. Class of 2012 is lucky though! They don't have to take the SAT II because its being cancelled.

Anyway, after, I stopped by Saint Lawrence Academy to see Justin and Allison graduate. It was pretty cool. The Mara family invited me over for a party after.

5:30AM Photoshoot/Rehearsal

*Alarm ringing*...
What time is it...?
5:30AM?!

Hah, so this morning I decided that I wanted to have a sunrise photoshoot with Chanda, Christian, Mark, and Jay. I woke up around 5AM and picked up Chanda and we drove to Evergreen. Picked up some breakfast for everyone. It was fun waking everyone up. Driving to their places and giving them wake up calls. Christian came out without a shirt. And Mark took forever to open the door.

Anyway, we finally all ended up at Jay's house and then left to Fowler Park. This park is amazingly nice! Anyway, we just shot around. Later, we left for this plaza and chilled near a water fountain. I got some good shots though.

I had to leave at 930AM to get back to Milpitas for a physical at 10AM...

After that, I had lunch with my mom and sister and then my sister and I went to Fremont for wedding rehearsal. I went back to Milpitas to pick up some stuff for my sister and then back to Fremont. I stayed in Fremont until about 430PM and then went home to pick up some more stuff. At 6PM we went back to Fremont for rehearsal again...

I hate driving...

GET SOME

The first day of summer was definitely LEGIT.

There was a big pool party at Angela's today. It was pretty fun. Most of the Vu-Tang Klan went.
The day started out with Mimi waking me up early telling me that I had to drive her to Fremont to pick up a dress for the wedding. Gaah.. Then later, I dropped her off at Angela's for the girls part of the party. Went to Jomar's to chill for a bit before the rest of the guys came. As Eric and Troy came over, we played some basketball to get hot and sweaty so that jumping in a pool would feel all the more satisfying. Hah

When we got to the pool and jumped in, it turned out that it was already hella cold. Haha. There were a good 15-20 people there so it was all good. After swimming we all headed to Gill Park to eat pizza. Jammed a bit and took our group picture.

"GET SOME" is Lynn's new catch-phrase.

Pictures by Justin Lai. Go wide angle!
